Vikings U8’s and U8 Warriors put in some fine performances at the WDYFL Carterton Tournament.
With just six players available over the 5 game 5-a-side tournament, Vikings u8’s worked extremely hard for each other and showed their obvious potential with fearless attacking and nice combination play in tight areas to record some great results.
U8 Warriors also managed to chalk up some impressive results, but it was the manner in which they were achieved that was most notable. Combining a great team ethic and using strength in depth of the squad the U8 Warriors displayed a fine blend of individual talent, solid defending and neat passing moves to be proud of.
A pleasure to watch both of these teams trying to play an attractive brand of football and long may it continue!
