Congratulations to our victorious U15 squad, who won their league on Sunday with a win in their final match of the season.
Neil Reeves, U15 Manager:
“It’s been a brilliant time at Vikings, a period of  8 or 9 years with the club and with the same team. It’s been a roller coaster of a ride to say the least, with highs and lows, joys and tears. I was lucky to have a great set of boys in my team and some of the best coaches to support me. I have always been willing to have my say and stand up to support my team whatever the weather. To sign off as Champions is just the best way to leave, as well as getting to the 1/4 finals of the Oxfordshire KO Cup.
Key statistics: Played 16 | Won 14 | Drawn 1 | Lost 1 | Points 43 | Goals for 91 | Goals against 26 | Clean sheets 3
WVYFC:
“Neil epitomises the best of youth football: team player, loyal, selfless, competitive and fair. Over many years with Vikings, Neil has nurtured and protected his squad, providing them with the platform to develop and improve, they deserve to finish their time in youth football as league winners. As a supporter, it has been a real joy to watch them play, you can see Neil’s squad follows his ‘work hard, play hard’ ethic.”
